Open Letter to the Honorable Aisha N. BraveboyCounty Executive, Prince George’s County, Maryland July 4, 2025 Dear Aisha, As the nation pauses to celebrate its 249th birthday, I also celebrate your recent swearing-in as County Executive of Prince George’s County. Two weeks ago I was honored to sit beside Imam Teslim Alghali—who delivered your opening prayer—at your inauguration. The very next evening, you and your staff welcomed my wife and me to your post-inauguration reception—gestures that underscore a leadership style grounded in inclusion and grace. It feels like yesterday you led Sigma Gamma Rho at Maryland while we mobilized students from College Park to Howard to harness the power of the vote. Nearly three decades later you now wield real power to change lives—especially the lives of our youth across Prince George’s County. The OpportunityOur county hosts premier institutions—Bowie State, UMD College Park, Capitol Tech—and thousands of alumni innovators. Yet too many teens measure success in ways that harm themselves and our community. STEM4US! offers a concrete plan to flip that script. An AI-Powered Ecosystem for Inclusive Prosperity
Why Act Now
Seeing you wear the Howard Law lapel pin warms the heart of every member of the Howard family. The legendary Howard Law Professor Charles Hamilton Houston (mentor to Justice Thurgood Marshall) taught us that a lawyer is either a a change agent or a parasite on society. You embody the former; let’s refine that legacy for a new generation. Call to ActionWithin your first 100 days, convene a county-wide Youth & Innovation Town Hall with STEM4US!, Bowie State leadership, corporate partners and returning-citizen advocates to finalize funding, facilities and first-year KPIs for the AI ecosystem. As an immediate step, we invite Prince George’s County to become lead sponsor of our July 25-27 Online Youth Ag-Tech Hackathon to keep our boys engaged this summer by underwriting:
Onward & upward,
