Orlan M. Johnson At-Large Director

Orlan M. Johnson is a legal professional, economic strategist, and community advocate with decades of leadership across public and private sectors. He is Board Chair of the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (MD), leading initiatives in regional business growth, workforce equity, and infrastructure. He also serves as Director of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty for the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he advances civic engagement, civil rights, and community empowerment.

A former presidential appointee confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Mr. Johnson served as Chairman of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). He was previously a corporate partner at Saul Ewing LLP and a legal advisor to major financial and community institutions.

At STEM4US!, Mr. Johnson applies his governance experience and policy expertise to support equitable access to tech education and to prepare underserved youth for careers in cyber, vocational and related high-demand fields.
